Further and Continuing Education

At the moment all courses that are specifically being taught as continuing and further education are in Norwegian. However, some of our regular courses in English can be enrolled for as single course participation and therefore part of your lifelong learning programme.

Please contact us to guide you towards forthcoming courses in English.

We will be happy to welcome you as a student to our Faculty!

The Faculty of Theology offers several courses as further and continuing education. These courses enable participants to maintain knowledge and bring their academic and professional competence up-to-date on the subject matter. The obligatory attendance of a course is normally concentrated over a short period of time and the rest of the assignments and teaching is provided through online learning.

The courses can be taken with or without credits. Continuing and further education with credits will provide the participant with new formal competence and one is obliged to pass required course assignments and an examination at the end of the course. Participants who follow our courses without credits will be offered a course testimonial.

Our courses often emerge as a result of projects between professional and academic institutions seeking to develop our curriculum courses. Thus our courses tend to be developped specifically for certain contemporary needs. An example of this is linked in below where our Faculty has developed and held specially commissioned teaching courses for The Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion.
