This collection of studies represents one of the begnnings of the project Jesus in Cultural Complexity. It is based on papers from a conference in Oslo 2007 with many of the participants in the project, In addition to the editors, also Leif Vaage, Toronto; Oddbjørn Leirvik, as well as Thomas Hylland Eriksen (Culcom) and Peter Normann Waage.
