In the second GOBA Colloquium of the fall semester, we meet to discuss ‘‘Religious Violence as Modern Myth’’ (Political Theology, 2014), in which William Cavanaugh, Professor of Catholic studies at DePaul University, summarizes the main arguments of his influential The Myth of Religious Violence: Secular Ideology and the Roots of Modern Conflict (2009).

The colloquium is open for everyone.
