PhD seminar "How to develop a new course for university teaching"

In this workshop you will walk through the steps necessary to design and create a new taught course for the BA or MA level. It will include the developments of goals and outcomes, the selection of forms of formative and summative assessment that will allow the students to accomplish the outcomes most effectively, a consideration of the pros and cons of various teaching styles, weekly planning of course content, and the development of required and optional reading lists.  Instructor: Diana Edelman
