Open lecture by Hans-Günter Heimbrock: Reflecting on "Lived Religion" and on Encounters in Everyday Life

How are place and encounter central to a discussion on what everyday theology and religion is about?

Welcome to this open lecture by Hans-Günter Heimbrock, professor emeritus of practical theology and religious education at Goethe University, Frankfurt.

The lecture has as its starting point the course TFF 3151/4151 Tro på stedet.

The course is developed in collaboration between local communities and congregations (diosece of Oslo). Parts of the course are held in local communities with local participants and relate to their own experiences and attitudes on local values and living. The course brings together students and participants from different faith, culture, and academic backgrounds and traditions.

Both the place and the encounters are experiences and events that open the concept of lived religion to something more. How do we interpret theologically sharing encounters and experiences in and from a specific place? What role may these shared encounters and experiences play both normatively and religiously, and what are their theological significance? How are place and encounter central to a discussion on what everyday theology and religion is about?

The lecture is open to everyone. We particularly welcome students, including those who have completed the course Tro på stedet.
